Other ways to Give
The divide between rich and poor often comes down to a divide in education and skills, critically important from the earliest years. The Love Trust is a trusted education partner. Together with you, our donors and partners, we bring about positive social change.
Sponsor a child
Our Sponsor a child programme for Nokuphila School provides a sustainable income stream for our children.
By sponsoring a child through the Donor angel programme you can help a vulnerable child from the Thembisa community to have access to quality education.
You can sponsor a child from R250; R450; $25; £25; €25 or any other amount. The frequency of the payments can be once off, monthly, quarterly or annually, the amount and frequency are up to you.
It is through your generosity that the Love Trust is able to provide hope to communities in need across South Africa, thank you for making a difference.
Volunteering
Change lives with us. We would be pretty lost without those who give their time and talents.
Here are a few ways for you to share:
Host an event and encourage your friends to join our Sponsor a Child programme.
Adopt The Love Trust as a beneficiary of an event.
Volunteer your skills from home or office or at our Nokuphila Campus in Thembisa by helping with a whole range of things from gardening, maintenance, admin support, coaching, music, therapy, reading and writing with children, graphic design, just to name a few.
Help us bring business skills and other personal development to our students so we help them to be a step ahead and improve their market access.

Legacy Giving or Naming Gifts
You can leave a legacy gift in your last will and testament. This an opportunity for individuals, families, or organisations to make a significant impact on the lives of so many by investing in a programme or worthy learner or teacher whose encounter will extend well into the future and provides a ripple effect of positive change.
Through a naming gift a benefactor is granted an opportunity to pay tribute and honour the patron through naming rights that can be revered and memorialised for years to come.
Estate duty refers to a tax of 20% that is levied on the estate of a deceased person in accordance with the provision of the Estate Duty Act (the “Act”). Estate duty is levied on the dutiable portion of the deceased estate. Currently, estate duty is levied at a rate of 20% on assets exceeding R3.5-million in the estate at the time of the donor’s death.
One way to avoid paying estate duty is by leaving a legacy to an institution such as The Love Trust. Charitable legacies of this nature are deducted from the value of the estate before duty is calculated.
It is best to consult with your attorney for advice if you plan to make a charitable gift to Nokuphila or The Love Trust in terms of a will.
Should you have any queries or wish to discuss leaving a legacy further, email charmaineg@lovetrust.co.za.

We continue to be grateful to our supporters for their continued partnership in bridging the gap between our academic excellence and stationery needs.
